A real home from home experience. Great staff, food and welcome from Jane and her team. Nothing is too much trouble. I stay a lot and eat here lots. Always excellent. Except Molly
Jane, thank you for making my wedding day so special. The bedrooms were fantastic, the Christmas decorations in the Hotel made my day so wonderful. The food was outstanding, the staff so friendly and helpful, especially Tina! If I could give you more than 5 stars I would! And, that's not all the breakfast the next morning. Oh my word, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven! You are brilliant and so is your hotel.

We stayed at Roseneath House for my sister’s hen weekend. This beautiful house made the weekend even more perfect. The rooms were spacious with large comfy beds. There is a bathroom for each room which made getting ready a lot easier. The house was spotless. There is a lot of common space including a large kitchen, dining room/living room and of course the hot tub making the venue perfect for an evening in. In summer the surrounding grounds would be perfect for a BBQ. I would recommend this house to any group looking to spend a weekend in Bristol or Bath. Paul is a great/ helpful host too. Thanks so much Paul for letting us stay in your beautiful house!
What a really lovely place top stay. I needed to stay one night and Paul was more than helpful when I phoned up to book. On arrival the room was spotless and beautifully decorated. The en suite was spotless. Breakfast was set out very nicely with fresh fruit cereals and juices and cooked breakfasts available to your requirements. I would definitely recommend it and thoroughly enjoyed my stay - shame it was only for one night x

Hmm,not the best experience, but when quiet,it is a nice chilled out place, went there again to see if it had got any better, but I'm afraid it didn't,understaffed, wasn't really busy, the bar area seemed unorganized, the "cook or chef" didn't look like she didn't know what she was doing, use just for a drink if passing. So we went here again this week and it was really nice, cold beer and good hot food, different staff and pretty quiet
Quite small but clean and friendly. Stocked bar, snacks available, just very small bar area so despite the decent menu would have felt like I was being watched by the barkeeper as the bar was quiet at 7 on Saturday night.

Food was really nice, service was good. Seats were so uncomfortable that's why I've marked it 3 stars ✨ not 4 stars. And felt like they wanted us gone as they asked us if we wanted the bill when we had nearly full drinks left. Also bring the change, don't expect to get the whole of the change for a tip. I will decide.... You probably would've got more!!!!!
One of my favourite places to eat. Always accommodate my dietary needs and my friends love it too when ive taken them for treats
Bath Rd, Swineford, Bristol BS30 6LN, UK – 0117 932 3101
A drive out to a country pub is always a nice treat; the Swan at Swineford makes it so! A very appetizing varied menu along with a fine selection of local Ales and Ciders. The new garden bar is a welcome addition, but we do miss the chickens strutting around; Well done snowflake parents for letting your "little Darlings" get too close- fantastic. In conclusion, from the very smart and helpful Staff to the very knowing Manager and taking in most of the above, come here and unwind for a while!
We had a nice 3 course meal. Good hot food. Friendly staff. Only very slight negative was that drinks orders were not taken in between courses, we had to ask on each occasion. No biggie! Will definitely return.

I love the Brassmill. The food is excellent. The staff are lovely. The surroundings are clean, well presented and the decor has been well thought out. The toilets are clean. The food is reasonably priced. There are different areas to sit, eat or drink. It's comfortable. A lovely place to enjoy with friends, family or by yourself.
Good food, great staff, Ian and Adam always remember us and have a quick chat. Love that the menu changes fairly regularly as well. This pub also has a fantastic area for seating by the river at the front of the pub, and a gorgeous secret garden at the back. Definitely worth a visit!

Fantastic owner, property and location being between Bristol and Bath. We spent a very happy two weeks and have booked amother three weeks latter in the year. Looking forward to going back.
I've had a lovely stay here recently. The cottage is immaculate, beds are very comfy, it's like coming from home to home! Brilliant location! Would highly recommend a stay here, can't wait to go back!!

Absolutely loved staying here for a friends sophisticated hen do. The accommodation was superb and the owners of the property could not do enough for us. We loved that the property can be used as one large party (like we did), or as three separate holiday lets. I will definitely be back. Thank you so much Terri and David.
Had a brilliant relaxing weekend, a bit pricey but wonderful central location for Bath and Bristol. We stayed in the School House, nice cosy cottage with all the facilities provided. Very comfortable beds :)

We arrived from Perth Australia with 2 tired young kids, and we could not have been better looked after by Geoff and Denise. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and well provisioned. The room rate was excellent, and the breakfast was sublime. All told, we were sad to leave, not least Mortimer and Norman!
Probably the nicest b&b I've ever been to. Lovely hosts, lovely room and well provisioned. Excellent breakfast as well.

Stayed twice and will be going back there in the near future
Stayed in the annexe. Beautifully decorated and finished. Well appointed with plenty for breakfast, cereals, eggs, bread, milk, butter, yoghurt, jam, orange juice. An overnight stay somewhat marred by the owner complaining that we had eaten the eggs and disposed of the egg box??? Very strange "food police"!!! Don't think I will venture there again in case I fancy any coco pops. Wasn't impressed that the box of Pringles was three-quarter eaten when we got there!! Lovely place - disappointing owner.

The Secret Garden is a truly special place. The hosts are warm and welcoming and the rooms are beautifully decorated and are bright, fresh and spotlessly clean. The room was warm and cosy at night and made me feel at home. The bed was extremely comfortable and I had a very peaceful nights sleep. The breakfast was very nice. I explained to the hosts at breakfast that this was my first trip away since losing my dear husband and they were very kind and caring to me, it was the loveliest experience of a B&B I have had and I am very glad I have found this place as I will plan a stay each time I am on the way to visit my daughter as it’s a home from home. We had a lovely morning wandering around the garden centre and my great grandson loved the play area.
My parents and I had the pleasure of staying at The Secret Garden B&B last month and would highly recommended it. David and Clare are warm and welcoming hosts, breakfast was great and the rooms are bright, cheery and very comfortable. Thank you.
If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Just had our second visit to Knight's Folly, this month. This is a lovely campsite, with lovely owners, who are so helpful and accomodating. Excellent shower and toilet block. A great location for access to the old railway track, plus there are lots of quiet public footpaths nearby too.
We arrived on the wettest Bank holiday weekend you could imagine and were greeted by the owners who couldn't of been more friendly and helpful. The location was ideal for our needs with shopping only a short drive towards Bristol and fantasic walking straight from the site. The rain didn't really stop whilst we were there and we have no idea how they kept the new toilet and shower block so clean with all the mud about but they were spotless. An amazing campsite which we will use again when in the area.
